Amazon Gift Card Contest

​

Communities Foundation of Texas, the creator of North Texas Giving Day that occurs annually in September,  is sponsoring a special day of fundraising on May 5, 2020 to help nonprofits mitigate the effects caused by the COVID-19 shutdowns.

​

Our board president is offering a contest open to anyone who donates to Heather's Old Skool Village through the North Texas Giving Tuesday Now campaign. Here are the rules:

​

General - 

  • Donations must be made through the North Texas Giving Tuesday site. The direct link to the HOSV donation page is https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/heathers-old-skool-village.

  • Donor's email address must be included in notes to facilitate notification and delivery.

  • Prize(s) will be in the form of Amazon gift cards.

  • Amazon gift cards will be delivered via email.

  • Donors will be entered into the contest automatically. One entry for every $10 donated up to 10 entries for a $100 or greater donation. Entries will be generated as follows:

1 entry for donations of $10 - $19.99
2 entries for donations of $20 - $29.99
3 entries for donations of $30 - $39.99
4 entries for donations of $40 - $49.99
5 entries for donations of $50 - $59.99
6 entries for donations of $60 - $69.99
7 entries for donations of $70 - $79.99
8 entries for donations of $80 - $89.99
9 entries for donations of $90 - $99.99
10 entries for donations of $100 or more​

  • A minimum of $1000 must be raised from all North Texas Giving Tuesday Now donations. If less than $1000 is raised, the contest will be cancelled.

  • Drawing will be held at the regular meeting of the HOSV board of directors on Friday, May 15, 2020 and winner(s) will be notified by Friday, May 22, 2020.

  • All references to monetary amounts are in US dollars.

Prizes - 

  • All prizes are being personally funded by the HOSV board president. No funds will come from Heather's Old Skool Village.

  • All prizes will be Amazon gift cards in the amount of $50.00 per gift card.

  • The total number of prizes awarded will be determined as follows:

2 $50 gift cards if final donation total is $1000 - $1999.99

2 additional $50 gift cards (4 total) if final donation total is $2000 - $2999.99

2 additional $50 gift cards (6 total) if final donation total is $3000 - $3999.99

2 additional $50 gift cards (8 total) if final donation total is $4000 - $4999.99

  • If the final total of donations reaches or exceeds $5000, all 8 gift card amounts will be increased to $100.

  • If the final total of donations reaches or exceeds $5000, all donors who gave $50 or more will be entered into an additional second drawing for a $200 Amazon gift card. Donors in this drawing are also eligible for the first drawing under the general rules above. Donors in the second additional drawing will have one entry each regardless of the amount donated.

Exclusions - 

  • Donations made through avenues other than the North Texas Giving Tuesday Now site provided in the general rules above will NOT receive entries in the contest.

  • Donations made outside of North Texas Giving Tuesday Now (Tuesday, May 5, 2020) and its early giving window (Thursday, April 14, 2020 through Monday, May 4, 2020) will NOT receive entries in the contest.

  • Employees of Heather's Old Skool Village and members of their immediate family (as defined by the Business Dictionary) are ineligible to participate in the contest. 

  • Members of the board of directors for Heather's Old Skool Village and members of their immediate family (as defined by the Business Dictionary) are ineligible to participate in the contest.
